Nutrition counseling for high cholesterol
Food choices can make a real difference in LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and overall heart risk. We help you make changes that are specific, practical, and built around foods you already enjoy.
Cholesterol is shaped by genes, age, weight, activity, and medical conditions as well as by diet. For many people, changes in eating can improve their numbers.
For others, especially those with a strong family history, medication is also needed. Nutrition and medication can work together.

Common questions
Do I have to stop eating eggs or red meat?
Not necessarily. We look at your overall eating, your labs, and your history instead of banning single foods.
How soon can I recheck my numbers?
Doctors often recheck a lipid panel after several weeks to a few months of changes. Your doctor decides the timing.
Will food changes be enough without medication?
It depends on your numbers and your risk. Some people see big improvements from eating changes alone, and others need medication as well. Your doctor can guide that decision.
