Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026
Alemint Health (“Alemint Health,” “we,” “us”) provides virtual nutrition counseling in Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our services, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using this website you agree to this policy. If you become a patient, your health information is also protected by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which controls if it differs from this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of any message you send through our contact form, by email, call, or text.
- Patient information. When you book and receive care, we collect information such as your date of birth, contact details, insurance information, health history, goals, and records of your visits. This is collected through our scheduling and electronic health record platform, Healthie, and during your appointments.
- Payment information. If you place a payment card on file or pay a fee, your card details are collected and processed by our payment processor through our scheduling and billing platform.
- Technical information. Like most websites, the servers that deliver this site and its fonts can receive your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you request.
Please do not include health details in the contact form or in emails or texts. We gather that information through our secure patient platform after you book.
We collect this information directly from you, from your insurance plan when we verify benefits, and from the platform vendors that support our practice.
2. How we use information
- To respond to your questions and schedule appointments.
- To provide nutrition counseling and keep the records the law requires.
- To verify insurance benefits, submit claims, and collect payment, including cancellation and no-show fees.
- To send appointment reminders and other service-related messages.
- To operate, secure, and improve this website, and to meet legal and professional obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only as needed to run our practice and as the law allows:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as our scheduling and electronic health record platform, telehealth video, payment processing, and communications tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us, and where required by law they are bound by written agreements to protect it.
- Your health plan and related parties when we verify benefits or bill for care.
- Your other health care providers when you ask us to coordinate care, or as the law permits.
- Authorities and others when required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect the safety of a person.
- A successor if Alemint Health is sold or reorganized, subject to applicable law.
4. Health information (HIPAA and Texas law)
Information about your care is protected health information. We handle it in accordance with HIPAA and the Texas Medical Records Privacy Act. Patients may request a copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices at any time using the contact details below. This website privacy policy does not limit any right you have under those laws.
5. Cookies and third-party services
This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. Our page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which can receive your IP address and browser information when the page loads. Our “Book now” links take you to Healthie, which has its own privacy practices. Other sites we link to are not covered by this policy. If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy first. Because we do not use tracking technologies on this website, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or similar browser signal to switch off. We do not use information submitted through this website to train artificial intelligence models.
6. Calls, texts, and email
If you give us your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about scheduling, reminders, and your care. Standard message and data rates may apply. Email and standard text messages are not fully secure, so please keep them to logistics and avoid sending health details. You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop non-essential messages at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. We do not share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Messaging information is shared only with the service providers that help us send messages.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Retention
We keep patient records for the period required by Texas law and professional standards, and other information only as long as needed for the purposes described above.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your relationship with us, you may have the right to access and obtain a copy of your records, request corrections, request restrictions on certain uses, receive an accounting of certain disclosures, and ask us to communicate with you in a particular way. To make a request, contact us below. We may need to verify your identity first, and some records must be kept by law even if you ask us to delete them.
Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold from this website, to correct it, or to delete it, except where we must keep it by law (including patient records). To protect you, we verify requests by matching at least two details you provide against our records, and if we cannot verify you we may not be able to act. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by emailing us within 30 days of receiving our decision. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. If you have trouble accessing any part of this website or these documents, contact us and we will help.
10. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information through the site. A parent or legal guardian must arrange care for a minor.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed, and continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Terms of Use
Effective October 24, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Alemint Health website and the scheduling, payment, and telehealth services we offer. By using the website, booking an appointment, or receiving services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.
1. Educational content, not medical advice
Content on this website is for general education only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for advice from your physician or other qualified health care provider. Reading this website or contacting us does not create a dietitian-patient relationship. That relationship begins only when you complete an appointment with one of our dietitians. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read here.
2. Telehealth services
- Texas only. We provide services to patients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the visit. We cannot treat you if you are in another state.
- Scope. Our registered dietitian nutritionists provide nutrition counseling within the scope of their Texas licensure. We do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, or provide emergency care, and our services do not replace your physician or in-person care.
- Technology. Video visits depend on your device and internet connection. Technology can fail or be interrupted, and we may reschedule or switch to phone if needed.
- Your privacy. You agree to join from a private place and not to record visits without our written permission.
- Not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988.
- Your choice. Telehealth is voluntary. You may stop at any time, and you may ask for in-person care elsewhere.
3. Accurate information
You agree to give us complete and accurate information, including your health history, location, contact details, and insurance, and to tell us promptly about changes. Results vary from person to person, and we cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
Information on this website may not always be complete, accurate, or current, and we may change it at any time. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for health or financial decisions.
4. Insurance and payment
We accept certain insurance plans, and self-pay is available. Any statement we make about your coverage or costs is an estimate based on information available to us, not a guarantee of payment. You are responsible for any amount your plan does not pay, including copays, coinsurance, deductibles, non-covered services, and the fees described below. Outstanding balances must be paid before your next appointment.
Prices and fees may change from time to time. Payments are made in U.S. dollars and processed by a third-party payment processor through our scheduling and billing platform, and you agree to the payment terms shown to you when you pay. If you believe you were charged in error, including for a cancellation or no-show fee, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we will review it promptly. After 30 days, we may decline adjustments unless the law requires otherwise.
5. Cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows
- Notice. To cancel or reschedule, contact us at least one full business day before your appointment, at the same time of day. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. Weekends and holidays are excluded. For example, a request to change a Monday 10:00 AM appointment must be received by Friday at 10:00 AM.
- Late cancellation fee. A request received after the deadline is subject to a $50 late cancellation fee.
- No-show fee. An appointment is a no-show if you do not attend and gave no prior notice, or if you join more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start. A $75 no-show fee applies.
- Card on file. By scheduling an appointment, you authorize Alemint Health to charge the payment card on file for any applicable fee. Notice counts as received only when your call, text, voicemail, or email is time-stamped on our system.
- Insurance. These fees are not covered by insurance and are your sole responsibility.
- Exceptions and repeat issues. Fee waivers are at our sole discretion, and a waiver for one appointment does not apply to later ones. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in a prepayment requirement or discharge from our services.
6. Communications
You consent to receive scheduling, reminder, billing, and care-related communications by phone, text, and email as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not use the website contact form, email, or text for urgent matters or to send health details.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the website, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, introducing harmful code, scraping it, using it for any unlawful purpose, submitting false information, or impersonating any person or business. You also agree not to use bots or other automated tools to access the website, or to copy any part of it to train or run artificial intelligence or data-mining tools.
8. Intellectual property and feedback
The website’s content, design, text, logos, and marks belong to Alemint Health or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view the site for personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute it without our written permission.
If you send us comments or suggestions about the website or our services, we may use them to improve our business without owing you compensation.
9. Third-party services and links
The website links to and relies on third-party services, such as Healthie for scheduling and records. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The website is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law permits, we disclaim all warranties about the website, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. This section applies to the website and does not alter the professional standard of care we owe you as a patient.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, Alemint Health will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or from your inability to use it. Nothing in these Terms limits or waives any liability that cannot be limited or waived under Texas or federal law, including any liability for professional negligence in the provision of care, or any rights you have as a patient.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
13. General
We may update these Terms from time to time, and the effective date above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept it. We may suspend or end your access to the website if you breach these Terms or misuse the site, and we may modify or discontinue parts of it at any time. Ending care with a patient will follow applicable professional standards and law, including reasonable notice where required. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Alemint Health about the website, and our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
